Free Spirit presents a vibrant annual calendar of events and performance opportunities for their members and the local community. We invite the general public, family and friends to support our talented dancers at these events.

Free Spirit Dance and Wellness Inc invites you our “Pink Hafla” – raising awareness about
breast and gynaecological cancers and funds for local support services.
‘Hafla’ is the Arabic word for ‘party’ or ‘celebration’ and we invite you to a family-friendly
evening of performances, shopping, food and fun.
The doors open at 6pm and the dancing starts at 7pm. During that time, you will find seats in our unallocated cabaret style seating (be early for the best spots) and check out the fabulous mini bazaar, showcasing loads of dance and pamper treasures. Arrive in plenty of time to purchase drinks from the bar and check out the food van for dinner and snacks! You are also welcome to bring your own snacks and food, but The Dalmatinac Club is a fully licensed venue so we ask that you don’t bring drinks of any kind.
The performance program starts at 7pm sharp with an amazing line-up of talented dancers from the Free Spirit Troupes and our sister schools from across WA! There is a short intermission at about 8.15pm so don't forget your loose coins for the raffle!
Door tickets: Adult $25 / Members $20 / kids 5-15yrs $15 / Dancers $10 / Kids 0-4 free.

The Western Australia Middle Eastern Dance (WAMED) Festival is an annual celebration of the art of oriental dance.
A rich and educational workshop schedule and vibrant event program that runs over the WA June long weekend each year. The theme for the 2024 WAMED Festival is 'Reflection'.The 2024 WAMED festival runs from Friday 31 May to Monday 3 June 2024 in Perth, WA.

The Free Spirit Dance Community Inc. invites you to come along and experience the fun and good vibes at one of our glittering Christmas Haflas!!! The theme is RED so do your darndest!! Dress up and get into the spirit! You will be treated to a stunning stage show, featuring some of the multitude of styles of bellydance. From grounded earthy tribal style of Global Caravan to traditional, oriental, sparkling Egyptian and joyful Turkish, to Gothic bellydance and much, much more! See all the Free Spirit Troupes and many more of our sister schools and dancers from around Perth! Why not invite your friends and family, bring food, grab a table and enjoy a few drinks from the bar.
The venue is fully licensed so you can bring food but please don't bring drinks.
There will also be a food truck on site offering delicious savoury and sweet delights together with fresh coffee.
Enjoy a browse through our mini-bazaar before the show and during the intermission. Don't forget to bring some spare change for our raffles!

Free Spirit Member Christmas Party
Calling all Free Spirit Members!
We are having a relaxed open house at the Albion Hotel on Wednesday the 18th of December to thank you for your support during the year. No need to book, just come along at 6.30pm and join the fun! Free Spirit will provide some light refreshments. Bring any extra drinks and a Secret Santa gift ($15 limit!) to pop under the tree! An evening to relax and have a catch up with everyone without holding a nappy pin!!
